Something else to keep in mind as you read State of Lies: The First Gulf War. The war was fought against Iraq by a coalition of 35 countries. It took place from August 1990 – February 1991 in response to Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait. The actual ground war, Operation Desert Sabre, lasted only 100 hours (which in turn, caused me justalittle heartburn as I wrote this book — turn to the Author Note at the end to find out why!)
